Key Responsibilities

Systems Management Responsibilities:

  • Lead systems related workstreams for the new financial system being implemented in the finance department
  • Work collaboratively with IT, other functional areas and/or outside vendors to define business requirements, review initial process and program designs for new financial reporting tools or system customizations
  • Collaborate with IT team to support and troubleshoot system issues and ensure smooth data flow team financial systems
  • Serve as a support contact for finance users experiencing issues with the primary ERP system and other financial systems
  • Participate in testing and deployment of system upgrades and new features
  • Document system configurations and create user training guides
  • Proactively identify and research new software modules or technologies that could improve the efficiency of the accounting and financial reporting functions
  • Lead the routine maintenance of financial system master data
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to investigate variances trends and anomalies in financial data
  • Extract, clean add analyze data from various financial systems to support business decision making
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements based on data analysis

Accounting Responsibilities:

  • Assist with month end and year end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and statements as required by the senior management
  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and commentary
  • Ad-hoc projects as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proven ability to analyze complex datasets and communicate insights using Excel, SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Technical - strong understanding of computing fundamentals and technical systems, including network, hardware, systems administration and development.

Education, Training & Experience

  • Prior 5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst or equivalent, preferably within the financial services sector
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting information systems, business or finance/accounting
  • Experience with ERP implementations
  • Experience with Business Central Software

Working Conditions

  • Working at a computer for much of the day
  • Hybrid working model

Salary

  • $80,000.00 -$95,000.00
