Key Responsibilities

Accounting Responsibilities:

  • Assist with month end and year end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations
  • Assists with the budget process to develop projections for various lines of the business
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and statements as required by the senior management
  • Support accounts receivable function during peak periods or as coverage required
  • Assist in preparation monthly/quarterly indirect tax returns and remittances
  • Support the preparation of corporate income tax return working papers and schedules
  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and commentary
  • Assist with preparation of reinsurance requests and related accounting activities
  • Ad-hoc projects as assigned

Systems Management Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a support contact for finance users experiencing issues with the primary ERP system and other financial systems
  • Collaborate with IT team to support and troubleshoot system issues and ensure smooth data flow team financial systems
  • Document system configurations and create user training guides
  • Assist in defining user requirements for new financial reporting tools or system customizations
  • Assist in the routine maintenance of financial system master data
  • Other duties as assigned
     

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Excel

Education, Training & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting finance or a related field
  • Experience in accounting or finance role an asset

Working Conditions

  • Working at a computer for much of the day
  • Hybrid working model

Salary

  •  $56,500.00 - $70,000.00
