Join HIROC’s Knowledge Exchange: Workplace Violence Prevention in Healthcare

Beginning on November 28, HIROC is hosting a 4-part virtual series on Workplace Violence Prevention in Healthcare.
Establishing healthy workspaces is critical to supporting your people. Focusing on workplace violence prevention is necessary to ensure high-performing teams and to achieve safe care.
We know workplace violence prevention is a topic of concern for many HIROC Subscribers due to rising frequency and severity of workplace violence events. Thank you to HIROC’s Subscriber Advisory Council for bringing this topic to light.
Why Attend
Each of the four parts will focus on one of the four types of workplace violence. At each session Subscribers can expect:
- Pan-Canadian healthcare experts will share experiences on workplace violence prevention approaches and learnings from their organizations
- Sharing of legal and risk perspectives
- Panel (question and answers)
Who Should Attend
We’d love to see Risk Managers, Quality and Patient Safety Specialists, Clinical Leaders and Clinicians, Human Resources staff, Occupational Health and Safety staff and Senior Leaders engaged with the series.
It is intended for leaders and clinicians involved in:
- Developing or involved in creating their organization’s workplace violence prevention plans and approaches
- Responding to workplace violence events
- Managing or investigating different types of workplace violence events
- Providing coaching and support for those involved in workplace violence events
