To give you a sneak peek at what’s in store and how this event has evolved over the years, we sat down with Jean Asuncion, Senior Account Executive at HIROC and one of the event’s lead organizers.

Here’s what she had to say…

Jean, what is the Facilities Forum, and how did it come about?

Our Facilities Forum is all about bringing HIROC Subscribers together in a safe and open environment, where they can share their experiences, learn from one another, and refine their strategies towards the most pressing property and facility issues. It’s truly one of the best learning opportunities out there for those working in this space.

What makes it so powerful is the emphasis on sharing lessons learned, all with the goal of scaling that knowledge across our healthcare community. And, of course, it’s always wonderful to see our Subscribers face-to-face.

Now in its fourth year, the Forum just keeps growing. We’re really looking forward to seeing everyone again in October!

Who should attend the forum?

We welcome a broad spectrum of attendees. If you work in facilities, risk management, finance, administration, or even IT, there’s something here for you. Everyone brings a unique perspective, and we all have something to contribute and take away.

In August, we’ll be sending an invite to last year’s attendees and sharing registration on HIROC’s Insider newsletter, website and socials, so definitely stay tuned for that!

What’s on the agenda this year?

We’re really excited about what we’ve planned this year. We always like to start the day off with a discussion on the latest trends, helping Subscribers stay up to date with what’s been happening across our system and what HIROC is focusing on.

This year, our Director of Brokerage, Jonathan Bracamonte, will help set the stage with a talk that highlights the big picture. He’s really looking forward to connecting with everyone.

We’re also welcoming back speakers from St. Joseph’s Health Care London, who will share an update on their emergency preparedness journey and what’s changed since they last presented. And, we’re excited to have representatives from North York General Hospital joining us at this year’s Forum to present for the first time. More details to come!

Plus, we’re thrilled to have our property partners from HSB, FM, and Zurich on hand with their insights and guidance.

And to close it all out, we’re planning a fun and engaging fireside chat on property claims led by Caroline Libarian, our Senior Claims Advocate. You won’t want to miss it!

In the meantime, are there any resources you recommend Subscribers check out?

Absolutely! HIROC has a ton of valuable resources available on our website, many of them developed in collaboration with our property partners, that can help build strong foundations ahead of the Forum.

I highly recommend reviewing the following, developed with our partners at FM:

These are great tools to get your team ready for what we’ll be diving into this October.
