The HIROC Intelligence Guide – Available Now!
We are pleased to announce the release of a new guide designed to help Subscribers maximize the benefits of HIROC Intelligence.
HIROC Intelligence is a digital tool where Subscribers can find up-to-date, secure, and relevant insights about their claims experience. It is an interactive dashboard that supplements HIROC’s standard reports by automating analysis and presenting complex trends in a simple visual format. It is now available to the majority of our Subscribers.
The new guide provides step-by-step instructions for accessing the tool on HIROC’s website, navigating the Intelligence dashboard, and how to filter and generate detailed claims reports. It’s only available for HIROC Subscribers, so you must log in to your user account to access the guide.*
At HIROC, we remain dedicated to providing Subscribers with the tools they need to enhance safety and drive improvements. If you have access to HIROC Intelligence, please download the guide today and learn more about getting started.
HIROC’s Leo Dias, Vice President of Performance Excellence & Information Services, has overseen the development and rollout of HIROC Intelligence to our Subscribers. His team has been working diligently to ensure the tool meets the needs of healthcare organizations striving to enhance safety and make data-driven decisions.
In past articles, Leo addressed some frequently asked questions about HIROC Intelligence, offering valuable insights into its functionality and the many ways it can support your safety improvement strategies.
We’re pleased to share a few of his answers for you here below:
Why was HIROC Intelligence created?
We recognize how important it is that Subscribers are equipped with accurate, timely and intuitive information to guide decisions and risk management efforts. HIROC Intelligence places the power of HIROC’s data at subscribers’ fingertips, supporting their safety strategies with relevant insights.
Our goal with HIROC Intelligence is to make it easy for Subscribers to learn from their claims experience, so they can translate that learning into safety action.
How can HIROC Intelligence help Subscribers?
HIROC Intelligence will not only place the power of data at your fingertips, but it will also anchor your risk and safety strategy with key information and insights. Subscribers will have the ability to identify, target and track opportunities for improvement.
It will spare our Subscribers from manual number-crunching to interpret their claims data, by presenting information in a visually-engaging and intuitive way. All this while still being able to drill down to the detail when needed. Additionally, Subscribers will also be able to compare themselves with their peers.
How can Subscribers access the exclusive platform?
Once it’s available to your organization, you will see it as a new tool on the HIROC website (under the Member Portal Links drop down), where it can be accessed seamlessly using your existing HIROC user account.
What are some examples of data collections we might pull from the Intelligence platform?
Initially, you will find lots of information about your claims experience. From understanding claim frequency trends by allegation type, to comparing that frequency to your peers.
Our goal with this tool is to see it evolve with Subscriber needs. We are excited about all the ways Subscribers will be able to slice and dice their data.
Why are you and your team so passionate about data?
We see huge potential to put HIROC’s data into action in improving safety.
We believe the health system can achieve greater heights in safety if the data we gather can inform, inspire and support the iteration of safety processes. Like everything we do at HIROC, our goal is to turn the corner on patient safety.
