AT THE 2018 HIROC CONFERENCE DELEGATES GET A LOOK AT ISSUES TRENDING ACROSS THE INDUSTRY

Wednesday, March 28, 2018 – HIROC News

At HIROC we strive to keep the pulse of healthcare on our minds. From there we create unique experiences and conversations for the healthcare community – an example of this is our upcoming marquee event on April 30, 2018 – the Annual HIROC Conference.

We understand the importance of engaging in a dialogue with our subscribers, partners and our dedicated board members. That’s why, in preparation for the 2018 HIROC Conference, we asked healthcare leaders to give us peek inside their day-to-day to find out what issues are trending, what’s on their minds and where we need to focus our attention. Here’s what they had to say…

“As a healthcare CEO, I’m thinking about how we can connect the dots of care so that services are easier for families to access. While we have to contend with the reality of increasing demand and diminishing resources, we have to work toward a goal of zero preventable harm. Finally, it’s about giving frontline clinicians, patients and their families a true say in decisions about their care and about our organization.” – Alex Munter, President and CEO, CHEO/OCTC

“The major trends I see are around value for investment, putting safety first and ensuring health is in our own hands.” – Elizabeth Beader, CEO, North Hamilton Community Health Centre

"I think there is a growing appreciation for, and recognition of, the value of focusing on quality improvement and patient safety in the broader healthcare system. There have been strides made across the healthcare system toward becoming more patient-centred, and ultimately I think integrating patient-driven design will be the goal we are all striving for." – Remi Ejiwunmi, Senior Partner, Registered Midwife, Midwifery Care of Peel & Halton Hills

Because it’s important to keep the dialogue going, the final session of the 2018 HIROC Conference will focus on trends across healthcare. Delegates will hear about Mental Health Issues with the Elderly, Credentialing, and Property Risk Improvements. HIROC subscriber representatives from Salem Home Inc., Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region and Michael Garron Hospital will be presenting and sharing their experiences with delegates.
