ABOUT THE SAFETY GRANTS PROGRAM
The Safety Grants Program, launched by the HIROC Foundation, is a new grant program aimed to provide funding support toward HIROC’s subscribers’ safety goals.
As a reciprocal, HIROC is devoted to the advancement and sharing of healthcare safety knowledge, with the aim of creating the safest healthcare system. The Safety Grants Program will help HIROC and its subscribers work toward that vision together.
ELIGIBILITY
Through the Safety Grants Program, the HIROC Foundation aims to fund subscriber initiatives and share best practices in quality improvement related to these five themes:
- Preventing neonatal harm in labour and delivery
- Improving early detection and/or communication of patient deterioration (including escalation of concerns)
- Preventing diagnosis errors
- Preventing errors in transitions of care
- Strengthening organizational safety culture
Successful applications will receive grants of up to $20,000.
Application process
The 2018 call for submissions closes on Monday, November 5 at 5 PM EST.
