How Your Voice Shapes HIROC’s Future
“The voice of our Subscribers is truly the foundation of everything we do,” says Catherine Gaulton, HIROC’s CEO. “Our annual engagement survey allows us a moment to pause, listen, and stay connected to the realities you navigate every day.”
This touchpoint not only ensures we’re keeping pace, knowing how quickly our healthcare system can change, but it also enables us to enhance our services by targeting emerging risk and safety areas in a way that’s tailored specifically to your needs.
Did you know? Feedback from our 2024 survey directly led to the creation of several Subscriber-exclusive learning opportunities this year, such as the Workplace Violence Prevention Knowledge Exchange webinar series, and the addition of two new cohorts within our Risk Management Residency Program (Midwifery RMRP & Obstetrical and Perinatal Leadership RMRP).
A Closer Look at the Data
To track how we are doing each year, we start the survey with three foundational questions. They are:
- Rating overall satisfaction with HIROC,
- Recommending HIROC to other organizations,
- and whether the information and support HIROC provides helps improve safety overall at your organization.
And the feedback you shared with us this year certainly shines a spotlight on the HIROC difference:
- Overall satisfaction with HIROC – 96.9%
- Would recommend HIROC – 96.1%
- Supports safety at your organization – 92.2%
These questions serve as an important benchmark, helping us track our progress year over year and ensure our resources and services remain relevant and high-quality. We’re delighted to see the 2025 survey results moving higher in each instance.
A new addition to this year’s survey was a question asking Subscribers to rank eight HIROC Value Drivers (with the top rank being “1” and the bottom rank being “8”). Here’s how you ranked them:
- Expertise
- Responsiveness
- Risk Reduction
- Acceptable Price
- Product Quality
- Information and Data
- Stability
- Innovation
Over the past year, we’ve seen these values become increasingly more important to Subscribers. As we prepare to launch our 2026-28 strategic plan in January, your input in this was especially meaningful, as these values will influence HIROC’s future priorities.
Notably, Expertise, Responsiveness, and Risk Reduction emerged as the top three value drivers in this year’s survey. This signals to us that you not only appreciate the depth of knowledge HIROC provides, but also how quickly we can support you when challenges arise.
Our ability to be your trusted partner in advancing safety remains essential.
