HIROC Announces 2023 Safety Grants Recipients
The results are in for HIROC’s 2023 Safety Grants Program!
The Safety Grants Program is an annual initiative supported by The HIROC Foundation aiming to promote the need for greater agility and knowledge sharing in healthcare by funding HIROC Subscribers’ innovative research and projects that drive healthcare safety.
“Each and every day we see how the HIROC community is coming up with new and innovative ways to turn the corner on patient safety. We at HIROC value knowledge sharing and scaling innovation, and so it only makes sense to support the community through seed-funding of safety focused projects where Subscribers get the opportunity to learn from each other,” said Catherine Gaulton, HIROC CEO.

- Providence Care Centre
- Queensway-Carleton Hospital
- St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre
- Trillium Health Partners
- Weeneebayko Area Health Authority
- Winnipeg Regional Health Authority
- Yukon Hospital Corporation
Subscribers from across the country submitted applications in these safety areas: maternal neonatal harm, healthcare human resources, death by suicide while under care, patient deterioration, medication safety, leadership/governance, occupational health, emergency care, pediatric care, disclosure, and safety culture.
