HIROC is excited to share that for the 10th year running, we have been named one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers. This milestone is such a point of pride for us. It truly reflects our dedication to creating a strong workplace – focused on the physical, mental, social and financial wellbeing of our staff.

In those 10 years, HIROC has grown considerably both in terms of our staff but also the Subscribers we represent. Along with all of you, we’ve weathered a global pandemic and the changes in how we work. What has not changed is how we come together as a HIROC staff community, and how we are there for our healthcare Subscribers.

In the Globe and Mail today, we’re proud to share an article featuring our CEO, Catherine Gaulton, as well as Monique Grenville, HIROC’s Senior Accounting Analyst.

Monique and Catherine share what it is that makes HIROC a place that people come to love – all while growing personally and professionally.

“There’s a recognition that everyone here is a learner and a teacher,” says Catherine in the Globe. “The culture is about mentorship – about valuing formal learning and informal learning, throughout the cadence of the whole organization.”

They speak to things like HIROC’s education program, our HIROC U all-staff learning sessions, and the HIROCafé (as you’ll famously hear us say, the Café is like a Town Hall, but better).

Catherine says what we’ve achieved together is in large part due to how we invest in HIROC staff, and how we are there for one another.

“I feel like when you have that kind of caring environment, I’m bringing my best self to work every day, because I feel valued and supported,” shared Monique.

Congratulations to everyone at HIROC for this recognition. It’s our strong staff that allows us to create a strong community – one that is there for our Subscribers and those they serve.
